An unusual visitor …..

….. ….. ….. at a neighbour’s this morning - a Spur-winged plover. I wondered if it was injured as it was standing so still. They’re a handsome looking bird, with a high pitched shrieking call.

We’ve had a strange mix of weather today, with heavy rain this morning, followed by sunshine midday and strong gusty winds. Springtime in the mountains?

My daughter popped around for a visit later this afternoon so we took Missy for a walk around the Village, caught up with others at the Lodge, and discussed ways of substituting quinoa flakes for oat flakes in my bread recipe. I’ll let you know how it goes tomorrow!
