Walking the Coffee
The haar has gone today leaving behind a certain mistiness. There was drizzle in the air as I took myself and my Julia’s coffee a walk around the harbour. Back home to watch the very rainy Great North Run on TV, a half marathon from Newcastle to South Shields which I completed in 2001 and was the last run of my less than illustrious running career. HL with his dodgy knees was absent and I found it hard without his encouragement.
We were swimming at 2pm this afternoon and Selkie WendyF asked me to share a roll with her beforehand. It was a filled roll not a gymnastic one and was a perfect precursor for the dip. The boaties were also out in force so to avoid being run over by a yacht we truncated our swim, but sharing the slip is the name of the game.
