The next harvest

Brambles yesterday, rowan berries today and what was lacking in harvest for the first, was more than made up for by the second.    In fact I have never seen the trees heavier  though the amount of bracken growth makes them ever harder to get to.  

Then of course the real work starts - my extra photo shows some of our apples in with the rowans,, the first stage towards apple and rowan jelly whilst tonight Feorlean apples will be part of a apple and bramble crumble thanks to Cathleen's hard work in the orchard, on the hillside and then in the kitchen.
