Today's the day ...................... for mellow fruitfulness

I'm not at all ready for it - or prepared to give up the hope that we might have a few days of Indian Summer yet to come - but I have to admit when we went for a walk late afternoon today, that there were plenty of signs that autumn is indeed here.

And, in fact, if we don't get out and do a bit of blackberry picking quite soon, we'll have missed the boat .....................
