Three buttons in a row

Of course these are fungi buttons and I thought they looked very smart on their green mossy background when Bertie and I came across them this afternoon.
What a contrast today was to yesterday: maximum temperature today was 14 degrees under grey skies while yesterday was 24 degrees under blue skies. I hastily put on extra layers this morning.
