Ready for take-off

I spotted these swallows gathering on the wire when Bertie and I were walking through a field this morning. From time to time they would take off and swoop around us, catching insects to give them added energy before heading south.
We had a quick visit to Tobermory this afternoon to pick up a course of medication for Nick to treat possible Lyme disease from a tick bite. The doctor isn’t certain that the rash is a positive indicator but would rather over-medicate than under-medicate and Nick would certainly rather play safe than sorry. The only downside of the medication is that he needs to avoid exposing his skin to direct sunshine but I’ll be surprised if that is going to be a problem over the next three weeks.
