Bananas

My friend Tara had posted on her Facebook that she had bananas forming on her banana tree so I went by her house to see them. She said she had planted this tree 7 years ago when they moved to this location. The tree has sprouted “baby trees” so she now has 17 trees scattered around her property. This is the first time she had a flower and bananas.

We don’t think the growing season will be long enough for the bananas to ripen but what a treat to watch them form.

She also has bees so I got a jar of honey from her.

It has been perfect fall weather outside today. I sat on the porch part of the day reading.

Tomorrow we are driving up to the apple orchard to get more apples. They have several varieties that we like in the store now. We have two apples left from our trip in August so it is time to restock. A couple of hybrid apples to try also. The best thing is the let you sample before you buy.

And I know I will get apple cider donuts too!
