After a slow-ish start and some excellent strong coffee D and I headed northwards again - more dreich weather and more (different) sets of roadworks and road closures. We eventually got to the faux Hilton on the edge of Blackburn for our night's sleep ( v unappealing place, but I had some points I could use). Fortunately no restaurant in house so we had to walk round the corner to this handsome old building ("BTM 1735" it says on the plaque) where we had a delicious meal - masala for D and an achari for me. A very busy and popular place but with highly efficient and very friendly service. An excellent find - in fact, I'll put a map location in case you ever find yourself in a hungry condition on the eastern outskirts of Blackburn!
