Fall Grasses

My wee meadow has made a comeback from being inadvertently cut down in July.  I love the sunlight on the grasses.  There are several kinds in the small space.  This year I will be letting it stay for the winter to see what happens in the spring.  I took a big step yesterday and booked the first hotel for my return trip to Scotland in May.  I learned about Prestonfield House, an 18th century manor house turned hotel, a couple of years ago when I was in Edinburgh.  I had dinner at The Witchery, a boutique hotel and restaurant near the castle.  It is owned by the same gentleman who owns Prestonfield.  I picked up some information about it and it intrigued me.  It has such an amazing history and sits on 20 acres of woodlands and gardens right in Edinburgh.  It even has its own golf course.  I've added a photo of it in the extras.  What a setting!  If you want to read about this amazing place, here's a link.  It is always exciting to begin planning a trip.
