Ballylongford day 1
A long but scenic journey up to the tip of North Kerry where it meets the Shannon estuary for a few days with Professor of holy wells from Tennessee. Enroute I visited a small well in a townland famous for two things - moving statues and Jesse James - his family came from here apparently ! There were even fake cacti.
We had a wonderfully secluded airbnb in Ballylongford, surrounded by fields of oats and a short walk down the boreen took us to the estuary - all mud flats, curlews and a pretty impressive tower house.
