Leeds
Well a very small part of it! Taken through the train window on my way home after a morning's shopping. I had planned my circuit: Bravissimo; Curry's; Waterstones; Nationwide; Nespresso and I kept to it and was back on the train at midday. Goodness, the cost of printer cartridges these days!
The route in to Leeds Train Station has been bordered by high rise blocks for some years and they keep on going up. You can probably see the crane and the tops of three new blocks in progress at the moment. They overlook the River Aire which is below the greenery you can see in my blip. At present there is a significant civil engineering project to turn the Station into 'an accessible and active-travel-ready gateway' underway with a plan for a 600 bicycle cycle hub beneath the station. When you look over the security wall you can see some of the original Victorian archways which housed the Mill Goit. If you are interested in the development of the station I recommend the subterranean videos made by 'AdventureMe' on You Tube.
Back home I ate a quick lunch before Angela arrived for a blustery but sunny walk around St Ives Estate which is beginning to look very autumnal, particularly with the many leaves blown down in the winds of the last couple of days.
