Serendipity

I wasn’t intending to swim at the slip this morning having read the forecast, but at 8am, the sun was shining and a Selkie said ‘come’…..so I went and had a really enjoyable time. We were in and out in the dry just before a heavy shower of rain swept in. Serendipity.
I wasn’t intending to go to Kirkwall this morning, but I did to pass the time on a wet morning.
I wasn’t intending to have coffee at Judith Glue’ s but with the St Magnus café full, I did and with no free tables joined another girl/lady at her table.
I wasn’t intending to chat but when her bacon roll arrived and I remarked how lovely it looked, and smelt and she noticed the book I was reading we got into a conversation about books and then discovered we knew lots of local people in common. Serendipity

I wasn’t intending to join in with any other groups whilst in Orkney  other than the Selkies, but I did go tentatively along to a craft afternoon in the Library with my ‘sock’ and met 7 new people whose names I have to remember when I return next week. It was very enjoyable to meet another group of ladies. Serendipity.

The sun wasn’t intending to show its face today in Stromness but it has for most of the afternoon with only an occasional shower of rain. Definitely Serendipity!
