Burgos

It’s been a long 24 hours. We went to the Royal Albert Hall last night to see Garsington Opera’s wonderful “Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Proms. Not long after we went to bed, we got up to catch the first train to Gatwick Airport to catch a flight to Bilbao, then coach to Burgos. We visited the Monasterio de las Huelgas, a Cistercian nunnery founded in 1187 and full of Royal tombs and a mixture of Christian and Moorish art and architecture. Only a group dinner to go before I can crash out!
