Standard Class 4 cooling down in the yard

My first shift as signalman at Rolvenden. A one train working fish and chip special.

The train has just passed the box on its way back up to Tenterden. It now has to come back down to Rolvenden and berth in the carriage shed.

It’s dark and quite a cold evening. I put the floodlights on in the yard to light up the locos as they gradually cool down. I expect both will be in use tomorrow
