A view from Jeanneb

Pottery painting.

Just over three years ago we took Eda to this shop, ‘Crockadoodle’ in Larkhall to paint a unicorn that she had been coveting the window. (Blip here)

Today it was Jude’s turn at exactly the same age. We walked/scooted down to Larkhall in the cool morning sun - builders happy again.
Of course she wanted to paint the same pot figure as Eda had done. On that occasion Grace painted a butter dish which resides on the dresser.
Today she made a bauble with Jude’s hand print on and the date. Jude then painted a rainbow on the back of it. Jude will be 4 a week on Saturday but they will be away for the weekend so this was well timed.
The painted pots have to be fired and there is currently a 3 week wait so she was a bit disappointed but on the whole I think she enjoyed it - though she looked very serious while she was doing it - extra. (The colours will be much brighter after firing)

We walked back up the hill in time for lunch and the arrival of Chris.
As it was a nice morning Eda cycled to school, accompanied by Grace, so she will shortly go to collect her to let her cycle back before both girls go to Ballet in the New Oriel Hall in Larkhall.
I’ll go along to wait with the girls, who are in different classes one after the other and Chris will drive Grace into Bath to the theatre for tonight’s performance.
We’ll be going to watch it tomorrow night.
