Sands of Morar

Today we drove up towards Mallaig, to visit the Sands of Morar beach. We've been here before, but Orla didn't remember it. During the drive on the way up and once we arrived at the beach, the cloud base was low and the weather foggy. Such a shame, as we couldn't see anything. But as the afternoon wore on, the cloud burned off and by three o' clock the weather was lovely. Orla decided she wanted to go for a swim with her Angry Birds rubber ring and armbands. And swim she did, completely submerged. No mean feat because the water was freezing. Ed went in too, but I only managed a paddle. Our journey back was amazing. Sun making the sea look glittery and amazing views towards Eigg and Rum (where I did my finals mapping project, so I was feeling a bit emotional!).
