Hairdresser's View

Breakfast in bed this morning with puzzles and the Archers, the main story of which has come to a head in recent days and it's no wonder Brian was braying on the farmhouse door!  All that meant a later up than usual so it was in with the towels to the washing machine (nicely wet through again whilst we've been out, grr!) and a potter around the garden deadheading.  After coffee break with Hobblwordl, I cleared the self seeded greenery from the ever growing gaps in the concrete slabs at the front of the house.  We're waiting on Ollie to come and stand and scratch his head and mutter about what might be done.  I'm worried about water ingress into the cellar as autumn draws on, especially as the solar batteries have had to be removed from the cellar wall for a refit (!)  Ah the fun of living in an old house!

Being outside meant passing time with several neighbours and walkers which is always good, then it was time for lunch and a bowl of my newly processed tomato soup (bit less potato next time, I wish Delia had stated how much a middle sized potato should weigh) and a focaccia.  Lunch done with, we were off to Hannah's for trims.  On the way round to Hannah's back garden, we spotted a very sad little wild bunny looking lost.  On closer examination, we think it had myxomatosis, poor thing. Hannah confirmed there were lots of them about.  Whilst Tony was tidied up, I took this blip from the window.  Two minutes later a rain shower came down the valley and it was all over grey.  Apparently, WilsdenWalker had hailstones fall at her house.
