It’s nuts !! (and bolts and screws and spacers …)

Spent a good few hours trying to fit a VESA frame to the back of our tv.  These are just some of the fittings that were included.  There’s another bag of stuff as yet unopened.

Warning; technical bit.  Feel free to gloss over.
It’s been a tricky job because our tv has a curved back and the VESA grid is 20cmx20cm and is at the top of the tv.  Which means it’s very difficult, despite all the bits and pieces, to get the right combination of bolts and spacers so that it hangs vertically.  Which it doesn’t at the moment.  I may  try again in the next life.

Also nuts!! is the ongoing saga with my neighbour Steve’s broadband.  Last week I mentioned that two months ago, his broadband had been cut off, 2 days after his wife died.  It was supposed to be re-connected on Friday.  Everyone, including the broadband guys, thought it was.  It turns out that wasn’t.  And still isn’t.

Yesterday a senior engineer from the phone company was supposed to visit Steve to sort it out. He didn’t and it wasn’t.

We’re scheduled to have fibre broadband installed and connected next Friday.  If Steve’s experience is anything to go by, I may not be blipping for a while.
