South Africa.
No we haven’t jumped on a plane, but this plant is a native plant from South Africa.
It is a beautiful late summer/ autumn flower.
Botanical name Hesperantha coccinea.
Although I have always known it as a Kaffir Lily.
Just started to flower in our garden.
How nice to wake up to bright sunshine.
It has been a lovely day but a sneaky cool breeze.
We had a long WhatsApp with our friends in France.
This time last year we were staying with them and enjoying very warm weather.
Wonderful food and wine and meals sat outside on their terrace with glorious views of their garden and the countryside beyond.
Have been looking back at my blips of that week.
Such a lot I have to thank Blip for.
