Emerald Swallowtail (Papilio Palinurus)

What a lovely morning in the Butterfly House - I've really missed them these past couple of weeks whilst we've been away. The sun was shining and the butterflies were flying which always makes me smile. 

This lovely swallowtail is quite a large butterfly and is native to Southeast Asia.  We have at least two of these that I saw today. 

We are beginning to wind down for the season, with only two weekends of opening left. But we will still meet every couple of weeks or so to keep up with the gardening and to do maintenance within the BH itself.
