bread

Today I caught a bus to Dumfries and then another one to Edinburgh, arriving just after midday. Luke met me with Otter, and we caught yet another bus to Musselburgh, as I wanted to see the bakery where he works. After a very tasty sandwich in the cafe, I had a tour of the bakery itself, and was able to chat to the head baker about all things sourdough. Here at The Company Bakery, https://edi.companybakery.com/pages/about they make six tonnes of dough a week, and the bread is delivered all over Edinburgh, the Central Belt and beyond. It is made in the afternoon, baked at night, and packed in rhe early hours of the morning.

I had a lovely walk on the beach with Otter later on, and this evening we met Maria and drank (I had just one glass of wine) at Smith and Gertrude.

Now it’s time for some shuteye - I am very excited about the Kiltwalk tomorrow :-) Thank you so much to those kind people who have donated. I will let you all onow how I get on…
