Kiltwalk Day!

Maria made me some delicious porridge for breakfast so I was well fuelled from the start. The No 26 bus took me to Holyrood where thousands of walkers were milling about. There were staggered starts and I just joined the next one to leave. The sun was shining and spirits were high :-) It was amazing to see so many people raising money for charities so close to their hearts, and to hear snippets of meaningful conversations between other walkers.

20.5 miles later, I was given this medal. It’s only the second one I have ever received, the first was for the Moonwalk in 2009. I caught the No26 back from Murrayfield to Portobello, where Luke had some nice food waiting. He has gone to bed now as he leaves for work tomorrow morning at 3.30am. I’ve had a shower and am lying on rhe bed with Otter stretched out on top of me like a furry duvet. Its only just past 8pm but I might be asleep myself quite soon.
