Grindelwald day 2

A much better day in the Bernese Oberland village of Grindelwald.

Yesterday was a trial with too much travelling. But it is water under the bridge and now the real business of enjoying the holiday of a lifetime began.

This was a scene which opened up for us as we climbed up the hill towards the gondola station.

The weather yesterday was cold and wet, today the snow glittered on the mountains and the early cloud cleared to reveal stunning mountains, alpine meadows, quaint classical houses and blue, blue skies.

A photographer's dream!
