Exploring
A rather wet day dawned in Revelstoke so we decided to stay close to home and explore the town. We did about an 8 mile loop along the Illecilleuate River a tributary of the Columbia and vital in Revelstoke’s logging industry. We had lunch in town, browsed the farmers market, got bear awareness advice and visited the museum and art gallery.
And just for fun we counted the carriages of one of the very long trains that pass through : 136 if you were wondering!
