Always Check the Weather Forecast …
… in all aspects. I didn’t check the wind-speeds, did I? I thought I’d be in for a nice sunny snow scene with a few Ptarmigan if I was lucky, up at the Cabane. However in places the snow had drifted so deeply I plunged up to my hips. Not very graceful, trying to get out of holes like that. I had wondered why there was nobody else on the first télécabine! (There was no wind in the fog at the Col de Pillon, see extra). The Cabane closes until the ski season tomorrow, one of the first to do so in the Alps, and a sure sign of Winter coming.
Preston is limping “normally” today and has been playful again, so I think the crisis of yesterday has passed. Thank you for your good wishes.
