The day did not start too well with the M6 closed and the A75 closed plus pouring rain.
But it improved immeasurably with a delicious lunch provided by our hosts and a tour of their beautiful garden.
Those things we expected but they then took us for a tour of the first class Raeburn portrait exhibition in the brillianr Kircudbricht art gallery. And as Sheila is avolunteer guide for the show we had the full story.
Now we are in our hotel and the extra shows the view from our window.
