In the garden

I drove to the pool the other way this morning as our road was due to be closed at one end although I don't think that happened till mid afternoon.

Home I sent J and D anniversary wished, 46 years today.  They got engaged just after my wedding and married 7 months later - those were the days!  I also booked a visit on Doors Open Day on 28 September.

The morning was spent at the flat, working and talking to M, the plumber.  The source of the drip has not been established but it definitely was not Alfie. I gave him Dreamies to apologise.

Back home it was such a lovely day tat I took my lounger and my book and sat in the sun. It felt much hotter than the 18 deg it actually was. I even had a restful doze in the warmth. I've also booked for E and I to see and hear Jim Naughtie in the Lyceum just after the US election - should be interesting!  I've finished the Samarkand book and started the new Richard Osman.

As the sun began to disappear behind the trees I filled the bird feeders and sorted out the honeysuckle that was threatening to invade next door's garage.

Now tome to feed cats and probably watch the new BBC thriller. Hope its' a nice a day tomorrow.
