This very young Moorhen was swimming all alone, but I think it's Mother wasn't too far away.    Later I noticed another baby with it's parent pecking at weed on the far side of the river but not where I could photograph it.
I do hope they survive the jaws of the Pike.
Another glorious day so a nice long walk this morning and another couple of hours gardening this afternoon.
