Last light at Widemouth Bay

I was off today with a friend for a short photographic trip to Cornwall.  The weather was looking good and we headed to Sandymouth Bay.  The tide was out as we arrived and the sun was shining. People were busy enjoying the beach and water.  We headed for the rocky area and spent some time taking abstract shots of the various coloured rocks.  We then clambered over the rocks looking for potential ridges to photograph as the sea comes in.  We were there a very long time just watching the waves and trying different techniques.  The only problem was that the sky was such a clear brilliant blue, very pleasant but not so good for the photos.  I have added one in extras.

As we needed to get to our accommodation for 4pm we left before the tide was fully in.  It was based on a cliff top overlooking the sea with a great view.  Once we had settled in we found a nearby pub where we had a quick meal before rushing down to Widemouth Bay where we caught the last of the sunset.  It was such a lovely peaceful sight with several people on the beach enjoying the last of the light.
