Michelia Paton Pink

Another lot of heavy rain over the last 24 hours . Maisie and I managed our very early walk before the rain set in this morning. It certainly looked very black and stormy to the west. The garden and lawns are sodden. To such an extent that any gardening is nearly impossible. And yet Marlborough has very dry summers. So I suppose I’ll be fretting and praying for rain in a few mouths Tim. I visited Mitre 10 at lunchtime and admired the magnolias and michelias in flower in the garden centre. This very pretty pink Michelia flower was just starting to open up to show its full beauty.
