the library

had an easy day in the house as not only was it extremely windy out but my knee is still causing me problems. I went for a short afternoon walk .
I love visiting librairies but to my shame I've never seen the library here before , despite it being only a few minutes walk from our house (well it is tucked up a back alley off a little  side street). I discovered the windows and ironwork inside were designed by Gustave Eiffel (of tower fame) , presumably as a little extra when he designed a station building here on the Byrhh site. Sadly I'm too late to look inside as its now closed for renovation.
