Asters
Last night's talk from Sue Brown was excellent - she spoke well and her work is so inspiring. She tends to work on projects at a time, and has done one on beach railings at salt water sea pools, so over a period of time photographed the ones in Devon and Cornwall and then also in Sydney where her daughter lived. Sadly she has macular degeneration so her photography is changing, as she can no longer drive so is finding new ways of taking interesting photographs close to home - she is exploring in-camera multiple exposures at the moment and her results are wonderful. I am very bored with my photography at the moment, hence my attempt at an in-camera multi exposure of the asters that have self seeded in my garden.
Today was again warm and sunny. This afternoon I played golf with the two ladies from my golf group, only 6 holes at the golf academy where we have our group lessons. The course is easy in that it is not designed in a very challenging way but the fairways are rough and the greens are lumpy so I find I never play well there as those conditions cause it to be more challenging than one expects. It was so warm I regretted wearing a long sleeve top, and we were hot when we finished so enjoyed an ice tea in the cafe after our game. We have already booked for same time next week and I think we will keep this going until the weather turns against us, as this course does not drain well so gets very muddy in winter. At only £10 for 6 holes it is a bargain - unlike my golf club which is a lot more expensive than that!
Now off to make supper and I really need to catch up with some TV viewing tonight.
