The Pyramids, Day 5

People have been working for five days to bring this vision to life. Here you can get a sense of the scale of this project. You need strength and energy to move all that sand around and construct the bigger pieces, which are nearly six feet tall. The moisture content of the sand has to be just right for it to hold a shape; then the wooden frame can be removed. There are 380 of these pyramids radiating out from the center. I’ve been trying to figure out the spirals, which seem multi-directional. They are going to do some drone shots later today and I hope I can find them on FB or in the newspaper, just to get a different perspective. 
I got a chance at the end of the day to walk into the installation with a small group. I’ll see about going back tomorrow to experience it again. I don’t want to see it if it gets damaged though;  I know part of the deal is that it’s supposed to be ephemeral, but it’s so beautiful and fascinating I want it to stay there forever, or at least a few more days.
