Ber Street Gates, Norwich

Remains of the Medieval Ber Street gates, located at the end of Ber Street - first mentioned in 1146. I passed it this morning walking in from the city centre to County Hall. I noticed quite a few buildings that seem to have eluded me in the past. All could have made good blips when I was in the city daily way back when ( not quite as far back as medieval times, but getting there) I thought as I’m on the P and R bus today I’d have time to blip.
Next to this bit of ruined wall is a pub called Berstrete Gates. I guess that is how it would have been spelt.

Got to work just after 8. My alarm at 6 is usually very difficult to get up to, but I didn’t sleep well so had been awake on and off all night.

Done my days work and glad to be on the bus home now. Always lots planned for my evening and tomorrow but we’ll see what I actually manage to get done. Then just one more work day and it’s the weekend. Who knew Wednesday was almost the weekend..
