I'm so honey, honey honey honey

The wasps have been busy flying recently, and surprisingly interested in my Marmite sandwiches while I've been eating my lunch in this week's lovely warm sunshine.  By this time of year the larvae have all grown up into workers and latterly, males and would-be queens, and with no brood left to feed, the workers no longer need to hunt for meat but go for sugars: mostly nectar but anything else will do.

Since I am* amongst the minority who quite like wasps but so too do I care not to find half of one in my sandwich, I've put out a mixture of little globs of marmalade and honey.  And the little things have been mad for it.

Today's productive day at the controls was nonetheless conducted with the persistent vestiges of yesterday's headache, which took two lots of pain meds and a harder-effort bike ride after work to make go away.  But I did manage to speak with my GP about it today.
