Hill Top Ramblings

Nettle tap moth

It was another glorious day, with dawn to dusk sunshine.
We still have a few butterflies in the garden, including several speckled wood, which we only rarely see.
The Big Butterfly Count results are out and show a disastrous summer.  We really didn’t need to be told this as many people on Blip have commented on the scarcity of butterflies around them. Maybe something will happen now to reduce the use of pesticides before it really is too late? I don’t suppose so, but I would like to be surprised!
