Three little big trees

So, after falling down a Giant Sequoia sized rabbithole at the weekend, I finally revisited my local Hyde Park, armed with a phone full of information to take a closer look at & hopefully identify the tree that had gotten me thinking last week.

Youngest and Shadow came along for the walkies, and when pausing to point out 'which tree' beyond the bandstand, it was immediately obvious there was in fact three of them!

The middle one (extra) has youngest stood nearby for reference and some back of a cigarette packet mathematics puts it around 15 - 16 metres tall, so young in Redwood terms. Ms.Arell suggests measuring the girth of the trunk too around 5ft up from ground level to help put an approximate age to it.

Regardless, they are all very grand and am really happy to find some close to home :-)
