Small Beer

I dropped my brother off at the barbers in our home village in Aylesford today and had time to kill whilst he was having his hair cut. I have captured dozens of images for blip of our village and so decided in the time I had I would attempt to get a shot of a hitherto unrecorded facet, aspect or view.
After all our village does boast a medieval bridge, a Priory originally established in the 13th Century, a 15th Century church which has parts dating back nearly 1000 years and a plethora of other historical buildings but I just wasn't finding a new angle on sights that I have already captured. I was even contemplating taking a picture of two cats I came across in the church graveyard but just I was focusing in on them they both gave me a disdainful look and walked off. Charming! :-)
I then went to meet up with my newly shorn brother a little disconsolate that I had not managed to get my shot for the day when I came across this abandoned beer glass perched somewhat precariously on the diminutive footbridge outside our local restaurant. I just liked the the red and white lettering and the water droplets on the glass against the verdant looking foliage in the background.
So taking all the history of our village and its picturesqueness into account I only managed to come away with a shot of an empty glass - small beer indeed! :-)
