Auguries

Spitfire

Just a quickie, saw these writhing around on my way to my volunteer job.

Apparently they’re spitfires, the larvae of sawflies, an Aussie insect that is a benign relative of wasps.

Apparently, their name derives from their dislike of being disturbed, which i can confirm, having innocently prodded them with a stick (my daughter telling me they were a bit of rope, not strangely friendly caterpillars, as i had posited).

Apart from that frenetic with my photo book project, which I am trying to finalize before my brother-in-law sinks into serious dementia.Perfectionism is playing havoc with my timelines, as is the complete disorganization of my photos! That’s the next project :

Thanks everyone for your TT entries - hope to get around to them tomorrow.
