Looking through the bus window
At the Cathedral and College Green. Like midsummer - full of people having their lunch breaks outside. Not visible, behind the tree, is City Hall so many of them will be council workers.
I spent the morning offering my excess apples on the street WhatsApp group - and delivering 18 bags of them to neighbours. And there’s still lots left on the tree! It’s like magic.
I was on the bus up to Clifton for my shift at the Oxfam shop. So different these days- just two of us, so I was working alone downstairs, and upstairs the deputy manager was serving customers and putting out goods to sell. I don’t mind a bit, I don’t go there to socialise. Though I do like the company of the other volunteers if they’re there. And I almost got through a massive backlog of donations from when I was on holiday last week.
