Wonder World

The minky hadn’t been 100% and had been sent home from nursery on Monday. So maybe Leith soft play wasn’t the best place for her, but her mother had a day off and was taking small boy there so I tagged along with my little charge. A fine time had by all - especially by myself and the daughter who had good wide ranging chats. Some things are much easier when there’s no audience.
After I took her back home though it was clear she was running out of steam (an old expression which will probably make young people google) and so a quiet afternoon was in order. Though she did help clear up in the garden awhile.
Then to the EML for a meeting. MH’s malign pedantic presence felt again. Agenda item: Suggested change in terms used for charging: from "Visitor & Member" to "Standard & Special Discount Member Rate.” Ye Gods, that’s an improvement. Tube.
Then to the Diggeries where F bought us all whiskies. He’s finished his book and it’s with the publishers. A textbook about Computer Aided Design or summat. Just in time for Christmas, people!
