Cloisters
My car had to have its annual service today on the outskirts of Norwich, so I caught the park and ride bus to the centre to pass the several hours until I could pick it up. I started at the cathedral with a cuppa and cake, then a wander round. The organist was practising a few pieces and I was treated to a lovely version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow which was delightful if unexpected. I can never resist a photo of the cloisters. I briefly saw Budge the cathedral cat, he was too quick for a photo. Then I visited the castle, it’s still mostly cordoned off for major changes which have been delayed again, but there were three art exhibitions to visit. One was interesting, one was a bit boring and the photography one was tiny and pretentious. I had a wander round most chain stores looking for blue long sleeved, round necked t shirts, but no joy. It was cloudy but very muggy. As those who follow my journal know, I have very low expectations of Toyota given my previous experience, but it turned out they were still too high! I popped into the plant nursery at Edgefield on the way home, who were excellent as always - I bought some heathers, a small conifer and they’re delivering six bags of manure tomorrow with free delivery. When I got home I tried to watch the Emily Maitless series on Prime about the Prince Andrew interview, but I think something was wrong with it as the picture was very dark and you could barely make things out - has anyone else had that issue?
