The accidental finding

By woodpeckers

This week I have mostly been wearing...

pyjamas! I dragged myself up at midday for a bath and hair wash (so much better)! Washed some PJs, hung them up outside, even changed the bedding. Triumph ! Stayed up for many hours, though does being slumped or even reclining on the sofa count as being 'up'? It's not fully upright. I made scrambled egg for lunch. I didn't even consider working, though. Small incidents can make me tearful in my current state, and work is full of Large Incidents.

Ok, I do have occasional naps. Usually not planned. But I've been out in the fresh air, and I have managed to listen to at least one episode of a podcast without falling asleep. This is progress.

Indie produced the bird she'd killed yesterday, and then hidden. She laid it out on the rug for me. Poor little thing, it was a goldfinch, and still dead. I got rid of the corpse while she was out of the room (put it in the garden) and when she came back in and discovered it was missing, she freaked out! Jumped backwards, then flattened herself, checked in with me, and then 'hunted' the spot where it had been! She is a great companion, mostly, though I didn't like her wailing around my head at 6.40 this morning. Bombay cats are Asians, and therefore have some Burmese in the mix, and are  quite yowly.

It must be almost time to go back to bed. I wish I had a personal chef to cook me a tempting morsel. Must see how CleanSteve is doing, I think he may be next.
