Thursday: Hot Tin Roofs
Back in Belize City this morning. This was the view from my balcony in the hotel. When I see steamy views like this, I’m reminded of what’s good about being here, namely how exotic and picturesque. And it is steamy - it took a while for my glasses to unfog.
Before heading back to Belmopan I went to a wreath laying ceremony to mark the 13th anniversary of the death of George Price, generally considered to be the Father of the Nation. All well and good, but I arrived just as the marching band filed in. I ended up, in essence, marching behind the band so extricating myself was slightly awkward…..
