McKinley Marina

This is a small lagoon off the lakefront where they rent kayaks & paddle boats for your paddling pleasure! It's usually full of people splashing around, but was virtually empty today! I think it's because the temp. is still up there--95 degrees, but with the heat index, feels like a balmy 102 degrees, so no one wants to work to make the boats move! Normally when you get within a mile of the lake, you can just feel the temperature drop, but as windy as it is today (& with the wind coming straight off the lake), there was no temperature drop what-so-ever! Supposed to have bad thunderstorms later today, & " a big drop in temperature" (per the weatherman)--he says it should drop into the low 80's! Not much of a drop! :(
