Office Abstract

Checking on Ingeborg's theme of "minimalist" for today's Abstract Thursday Challenge, I immediately thought of buildings and architecture. Unfortunately, from my point of view, there are few inspirational opportunities locally and the unseasonably warm sunny weather was drawing me to a walk "in nature". So it was off to nearby Fleet Pond.

My first visit here was many years ago while I was on a staycation holiday from work in Farnborough. On that occasion I parked up and quickly found some lovely heathland where I had a picnic lunch and watched the planes overhead from the Farnborough Airshow;  I never did find the "pond", despite it being the largest freshwater lake in Hampshire!

Subsequently, I discovered my error and have had many a pleasant walk round the pond, but strangely not including that area of heathland.

Today, with the help of technology via my phone and the OS Maps app, I managed both.

The extra is of some cygnets on the pond. This was from family of mum and dad plus 6 siblings enjoying the sun.  My main is an abstract of the office block overlooking the pond, which I note is now empty. So both personal objectives for today achieved.
