Misty walk

Val and I popped out to Longshaw for a morning walk. It was quite damp when we got there, so we had coffee and cake first and then walked... by which time the sun was beginning to emerge from the mists. 
Val's been slowly recovering from long Covid, dating back to a Covid episode last Christmas. Today was the first time, since then, that I noticed her walking at her normal, brisk pace without having to pause for breath.
Later I had a mammoth catch-up with various admin tasks, some household ones and some for the November Photo Society exhibition. And I watered the pots in the garden, which had become very dry in this spell of mild September weather.
A good, quiet day.
