Last burst of energy
The fuchsia in the front garden is giving its all to a final burst of colour before the first frost. I like the way that you can now see every stage on the bush, from small buds to seed pods.
Otherwise... the week's accumulation of awful (outside world) news just got to me today really. The escalating war in the Middle East, with this week's surreal pager and walkie-talkie attacks, suggesting another terrible twist in the Israeli government's recklessness. The fine detail of whatever it is that has gone on at Harrods, with what is now beginning to look like systematic grooming and sexual abuse of women.
