Before the storm

Its been an interesting day....working from home

First of all, last night the toilet didn't flush - the cistern was empty, I tried to get it to refill but couldn't.  Then this morning there was no cold water in the basin.

As I was at home, I tried asking my plumber, who didn't answer.  Then a friend offered to come round and have a look, but he couldn't get it to work.  

In the meantime there was a massive storm with thunder, lightening and massive hailstones - it was soooo noisy!

Later, I got a call from my heating plumber - not really his area but he could recommend another, but I might have to wait til next week!

Anyway, then he rang me back to say the other plumber was coming round within 30 minutes.  5 minutes later he was with me, with an apprentice too...

Long and short was there seemed to be an airlock - and amazingly by using a big machine he 'sucked the air out of the cold bath tap!!  Though there was a lot of 'scale' in it too....

After the storm, I decided to hang out some washing on the line - and the line fell off the wall - but luckily I managed to put it back up again and the bed washing is now almost dry :)

That's been my day!
