Fixing the Web
Don't worry, the fact that the web went down won't affect your surfing or watching films.
This spider had made a web from one of the hanging baskets but it was attached to two garden chairs. I didn't notice it and I sat down. Marlane pointed out that I'd broken the web and I looked to my right and saw the spider about a foot away (30cm for Continental Europeans). It had immediately started to repair it's web, it was fascinating watching it going back and forth.
I did thank it for the Blip opportunity.
In other news, we were hit, late afternoon and this evening with rolling thunderstorms and torrential rain. When I say Rolling I mean it just didn't take a break for some time, continuous rumblings, some lightning but not a lot.
And then came the hailstones, quite large ones about the size of glass marbles. See Extra showing the accumulation of water at the front of our house.
Gloucestershire Constabulary have issued warnings to motorists about flood, standing water etc. and not to drive unless absolutely necessary, and double the distance between cars, which for some people means about six feet!
